City Market

Located at 20 E. 5th St. #201, no trip to KCMO is complete without checking out City Market. Home to a farm-to-table kitchen, farmers market, shopping and entertainment, it’s the perfect weekend outing for a solo venture, date or family jaunt. Special events like Socks and Hops, mobile mammography for health and even health and wellness days ensure no trip to the market is ever the same. What will you discover?

City Market has been a tradition since 1857 and has grown tremendously in over 150 years. One of the biggest, longest-running farmers markets in the Midwest connects growers to the KCMO community. With over 40 full-time businesses, you’ll find a diverse mix of dining options and entertainment throughout the year. Shops are open daily, and the farmers market operates year-round on weekends.

Gone to Market

April marks a new season for the farmers market with longer hours. Open Saturdays from 6 a.m. – 3 p.m., Sundays from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., and gearing up for June – August Wednesdays, the farmers market is open rain or shine. There are more than 150 vendors with fruits, meats, fresh treats and sweets, cut flowers, arts and crafts and bedding plants. It’s the perfect place to pick up a goodie, keepsake or treat for yourself.
