Winterfest is their annual event, where you can enjoy the beauty of buildings decked out in holiday lights, a fully decorated Christmas tree, ice skating, holiday characters, and more – all in addition to their traditional activities. However, they also have their winter market, where local artisans can come out and sell their handmade products, and you can buy unique gifts for everyone on your list. There’s even a package pickup service, so that you don’t have to carry around a dozen bags all day – just stop by the desk before you leave!

The Farmers Market at Lee’s Summit is expanding to include a holiday gift area on December 14th, so that you can wrap up your list! You’ll see a lot of baked and canned goods, as well as handmade soaps and lotions. The books will be gently used, but still in good shape, and you can fill entire shelves for the cost of one new book! Hardcover books will be going for just a dollar a piece, while paperbacks will cost half that, so go wild picking out books for everyone!
